Our Year One class is taking part in regular Forest School sessions, giving children the opportunity to learn and explore in a natural outdoor environment. During these sessions, pupils take part in activities such as exploring wildlife, building with natural materials, learning about plants and seasonal changes, developing teamwork skills, and taking part in simple problem‑solving and creative challenges.
Forest School helps children grow in confidence, independence, resilience, and curiosity. Working outdoors encourages them to take safe risks, make their own choices, and develop a strong connection with nature. These sessions also support many areas of the curriculum, including science, literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
