Our Year 1 children had a fantastic time at Forest School as they brought the story Stick Man to life! After listening to the story, the children set off on a hunt through the forest area to find sticks that were just the right size and shape for their very own Stick Man creations.
Once they gathered their materials, the children learned how to use a hacksaw safely to cut their sticks to the perfect length. They showed brilliant teamwork and problem‑solving as they measured, trimmed, and carefully tied their sticks together using rope.
The end results were wonderful – each Stick Man unique and full of character! It was a brilliant mix of outdoor learning, creativity, and hands‑on skills.
