After a lovely christmas break all the children arrived back to a new learning topic 'Rumble In The Jungle'. The children have all enjoyed creating a jungle animals, rain sticks and taking on drama roles as explorers in the role play area. In numeracy Year 2 have been learning to order non consecutive numbers as well as subtracting within 20, compare the weight of items and recognise their 2d shapes. Year 3 have been learning to subtract multiples of 10 from numbers, weigh items using non standard units and reinforce their knowledge on 2d and 3d shapes. In Literacy we have been focusing alot on our spelling patterns to match our phonics as well as in year 2 they have recognising and using question marks within their writing and year 3 have enjoyed creating compound words. Everyone has loved our sessions with Miss Wang each week sharing new things in Mandarin.
