The children throughout the school has been involved in a lot of activities which relate to our eco schools program as well as the team themselves completing many activities throughout the year. These are a few photos to show what we have been up to. The children have got involved with: - Tree planting in our school ground - Receiving a water butt that we can use the rain fall within our school grounds - Whole school assemblies - Creating a new Eco Code - Taking part in forest school lessons - Holding a book swap and a uniform swap shop - Creating labels for each of our classrooms to save energy - Litter picking within our school grounds - Making bird feeders for our birds - Reusing scrap paper in our trays within the classrooms - Creating Wildflower Beds from old tyres - Taking our fruit scraps to the compost bin - Learning about the life cycle of minibeasts and investigating them - Creating a bug hotel - Outdoor Learning Day, making use of our lovely school grounds
The list could go on, the children have been doing a fantastic job and continue to do so to make all our pupils more eco friendly.
