Kids Court
31st Mar 2026
Court was in session and some speeding motorists had tough questions to answer from our judges on the bench.
P7 pupils joined the local Neighbourhood Policing Team for an anti-speeding laser operation outside the school. Motorists caught exceeding the speed limit found themselves with a choice to make - they could accept the penalty points on their driving licence and pay a fine, reject the points and attend court, OR if eligible, face our Kids' Court.
Drivers who opted for kids' court were brought into school to face our panel of young judges to answer for their crime. Eight people faced our judges and some were moved to tears. Programmes like this are essential to raise awareness of speeding outside school. This is a real issue, particularly at bus times. Our children and our community deserve to be kept safe.
